- 2 Eier
- 3 EL Mehl
- 6 Scheiben Gouda
- 100 g Paniermehl (Panko oder Semmelbrösel)
- 2 EL Butterschmalz
- Salz und Pfeffer
Instructions
- Prepare the asparagus by trimming the woody ends and blanching them in lightly salted water for 3-4 minutes.
- Form the rolls by laying a slice of ham and a slice of Gouda on a working surface, placing two asparagus stalks in the center, rolling everything around the asparagus, and securing with a toothpick.
- Set up the breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs on three plates.
- Bread the rolls by coating them first in flour, then in eggs, and finally in breadcrumbs.
- Fry the rolls in heated clarified butter for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown, then drain on paper towels.
Notes
You can prepare the rolls a day in advance and store them in the refrigerator. For a healthier option, use an air fryer or bake at 200°C for 15-20 minutes.
