Description

A moist and flavorful banana-apple bread that combines sweet bananas and tart apples for a comforting treat.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 2 apples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 200 g all-purpose flour
  • 100 g sugar (brown sugar for added flavor)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C and grease your loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth, leaving some chunkiness if desired.
  3. Prepare the apples by peeling, coring, and finely chopping them.
  4. Add the mashed bananas, chopped apples, sugar, and eggs to a bowl and mix well.
  5. Gradually sift in the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt, folding the mixture until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Remove the loaf from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Enhance the flavor by letting the bread sit overnight. For a quicker option, use an air fryer set to 160°C for about 30-40 minutes.
